After becoming a customer favorite at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Noodles—a casual, modern Asian eatery—is continuing that success with its second location, in Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa.
The restaurant underwent a series of renovations in 2024. Noodles reopened in May as part of the resort’s latest upgrades.
Executive chef Xiaochuan Wu oversees the menu, inspired by the culinary traditions of Thailand, Japan, China and Vietnam. The Borgata location has unique offerings from Vegas, such as tonkotsu ramen and Singapore mei fun (a stir-fried noodle dish). A house recipe is used to create all of the noodles, from thin egg noodles to the wider rice-noodle variety called hor fun. Customers select their desired noodles for pairing in dishes, such as curry laksa.
Many elements of the restaurant are inspired by symbols of good fortune and prosperity in Asian culture, including the red-and-gold interior design and original noodle recipes—the long strands represent longevity. The spacious dining area is also complemented by a casual eight-seat bar.
Standouts during my visit were the seafood crispy egg noodles, fried and topped with scallops, shrimp and calamari in a savory gravy that softened the strands to just the right texture. The lo mein is another great noodle dish.
For dessert, the chocolate bao buns were fluffy with a decadent molten center–genuinely a chocoholic’s dream. On the lighter side, the almond cookies were a chewy treat.
